Somers state police are reporting that actor Rip Torn was being “processed for DWI … following an accident in North Salem.” Police said the two-vehicle property damage accident occurred at about 3 p.m.

Perhaps he would have been better off hitchhiking, as his hand motion in this file photo might indicate.
